Our Policy

Classroom Etiquette

  • Only one parent is allowed to attend the lesson with the student.

Attendance & Scheduling

  • Students are expected to arrive on time or a few minutes early. Late arrivals will not extend the lesson time.

  • If a teacher is late, the lesson time will be made up at the end of the class or rescheduled.

  • All lesson cancellations, schedule changes, or withdrawals must be submitted via email to
    info@h-musicandarts.com. Families may also communicate with the teacher regarding make-up lessons or rescheduling.

Tuition & Payment

  • Tuition is typically due at the beginning of the term. Please complete payment within one week of receiving the invoice.

  • Unexcused absences are non-refundable and not eligible for tuition credit.

Cancellations & Make-Up Lessons

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice by email for any lesson cancellation and notify the teacher to arrange a make-up lesson. Each semester includes one same-day cancellation at no additional charge.

  • Starting from the second same-day cancellation within the same semester, a last-minute cancellation fee of $30 per hour will apply
    (for a 30-minute lesson, the fee will be $15).
    This fee will be reflected on the next invoice.

  • No-shows (students who do not attend a scheduled lesson without notice) are not eligible for refunds or tuition credits.

  • Each student is allowed up to 6 make-up lessons per year. (summer break from 6/15-8/15 and winter break from 12/20-1/2 is not included).

Online Lesson Option

  • In-person lessons may be converted to online lessons via Zoom with at least 12 hours’ advance notice.

Substitute Teachers

  • If a regular teacher is unavailable due to illness or emergency, a substitute teacher will be arranged whenever possible.

  • If no substitute is available, the lesson will be canceled with no charge.

Withdrawal & Refunds

  • A minimum of 14 days’ notice is required for lesson withdrawal.

  • The school reserves the right to discontinue lessons. If a lesson is canceled by the school, tuition will be refunded on a prorated basis.

Physical Contact

  • Teachers may use appropriate physical guidance (such as light contact on hands, wrists, or shoulders) to assist with posture or technique.

  • Please inform the teacher in advance if you have any concerns.

Parent & Student Responsibilities

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for staying informed about lesson schedules, events, and studio hours, and for keeping contact information up to date.

Student Supervision

  • The studio does not provide supervision before or after lessons. Students should not be left unattended.

Injury Waiver

  • H-Music is not responsible for injuries sustained during lessons. Enrollment indicates agreement to release the school, teachers, and staff from liability.

Media Consent

  • Photos or videos taken during lessons or events may be used for promotional purposes without identifying full names.

  • Please notify us by email if you do not consent.

  • Studio policies are subject to change without prior notice.

Our teachers reserve time on their schedules, plan for your lessons, and invest in the long-term development of each student. To provide regular, quality lessons, the following policies need to be observed.
